Samantha was abandoned by her previous owners. This was her first day home. You can see how scrawny she was and how greasy her fur was. As you'll see in her other photos, though, it didn't take long for her to start looking like a happy, healthy gerbil.

Samantha was a beautiful spotted Siamese gerbil and a rescue who came to Twin Squeaks in early 2003. She lived to be 3 years, 9 months old, which is a very good age for a gerbil. Samantha was one of a kind, and we miss her very much.
